My name is Sydney Rodman and I am the founder of Re:Birth. I am a mom of three and I am currently enrolled in nursing school pursuing my goal of becoming a midwife.

I didn’t realize my passion for birth and babies until my middle was born, but looking back I did really enjoy researching so many aspects of pregnancy, birth, and parenting while I was pregnant with my first. At that time I probably wouldn’t believe it if you told me that this would be my path. I am an introvert and this career is very intertwined with personal relationships. But I feel that is part of the beauty of it. The call to be involved with helping women and babies was/is so strong, that I have had to and will have to chose every day to put myself aside so I can do what my heart is asking of me.

My journey has had many twists and turns. While I am sometimes frustrated to only be a fraction of the way to my goal, I remind myself to take a step back and remember where I was before all of this started. I know that way back 7 years ago, I was a completely different person and I needed the time it has taken me to figure out who I am and what I want my life to be like.

Outside of birth and babies, I do have other interests too. I love horses and was planning on becoming a veterinarian, but changed my mind as time went on. I play video games very casually and I really enjoy watching my kids grow.
